Jacob Johnson and Chasity Daugherty announce their engagement.
Chasity is the daughter of Paula and Dean Roop of Prichard, W.Va., and John and Lisa Daugherty of Fort Gay, W.Va. She is the granddaughter of Rose and Wilburn Meredith of Fort Gay, W.Va., and Tony and Rita Caperton of Proctorville, Ohio. Chasity is a graduate of Marshall University and is pursuing her degree in school psychology.
Jacob is the son of Larry and Sharon Johnson of Huntington. He is the grandson of Helen and the late Samuel Johnson of Ceredo, Clara Massie of Wayne and Donald Massie of South Point, Ohio. Jacob is a graduate of Marshall University and a member of the United States Marine Corps, stationed in Bangor, Wash.
The couple will exchange vows Oct. 17, 2009, in Virginia.
