Fettys' 60th

David and Ada Kay (Cooper) Fetty will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Dec. 5, 2013. Their children request a card shower in honor of this monumental occasion. Greetings may be sent to the couple at 128 East 6th St. Williamstown, WV 26187.

The high school sweethearts were married in Catlettsburg, Ky., in 1953. Both David and Ada Kay grew up in Milton, W.Va. David is the son of the late Dim and Ethyl Fetty and Ada Kay is the daughter of the late Lloyd and Belva Cooper. In 1964, the Fettys moved to Williamstown, W.Va., where David worked at Fenton Art Glass Co., and Ada Kay worked in the cafeteria at Williamstown High School.

Their marriage has been blessed with two daughters, Bonnie and husband Barry Douthitt of Charlotte, N.C., and Belinda of Parkersburg, W.Va., two grandchildren. Jill and husband Daniel Canup of Concord, N.C., Marcus Douthitt of Concord, N.C., and two great-granddaughters, Darbi and Ansley Canup.

Now retired, the couple stays busy with family, church activities, Eastern Star, Masonic Lodge and glass collecting.

Their children would like to thank their parents for the loving example they have set and for their devotion to family, friends and each other through the years. Congratulations Mom and Dad on 60 years of marriage.
