Amanda Nichole Bolton and Robert Alexander "Alex" Hogsett Jr., were united in marriage Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, at Six Mile United Methodist Church in Danville, W.Va., with Rev. Roger McCauley officiating.

Amanda is the daughter of Leonard and Cornelia Bolton of Six Mile and the granddaughter of Margaret and the late Harry Hager of Seacoal, W.Va., and the late Dorotha and Winfred Workman of Six Mile. She is a 1997 graduate of Scott High School, and graduated from Marshall University with a Master's Degree in Special Education in 2004. Amanda is employed by Cabell County Schools.

Alex is the son of Robert and Ellen Hogsett of Huntington and the father of Trenton Hogsett. He is the grandson of the late James and Almeda Hogsett of Huntington and Walter and the late Edith "Betty" Miller of Ashland, Ky. Alex is a 1994 graduate of Huntington East High School, and he graduated from Marshall University with a Master's Degree in Teaching in 2006. Alex is employed by Cabell County Schools.

The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her mother and father. Matron of Honor was the bride's twin sister, Alisha Chrest. Bridesmaids were Allison Davis and Leigh Hogsett, sisters of the groom, Barbie Caserta and Hannah Hensley, friends of the bride. Flower Girl was Anna Davis, niece of the groom.

Serving as Best Man was Robert Hogsett, father of the groom, and Best Boy was Trenton Hogsett, son of the groom. Groomsmen were Rob Chrest, brother-in-law of the bride, Jeremy Bondurant and Blaine Stoll, friends of the groom. Ring Bearer was Hunter Davis, nephew of the groom.

Ushers were Chad Ferrell, cousin of the bride, and Dana Sutton, friend of the groom. A reading was given by Kristin Ferrell, cousin of the bride. Guest book attendant was Andrea Lindberg, friend of the bride and groom.

Members of the West Virginia Symphony provided music for the ceremony. Ruthie Knabb from Petal Pushers in Madison created floral arrangements and bouquets. Photography was provided by Holloway Photography in Hurricane, W.Va. The wedding cake was made by Angie's in Proctorville, Ohio, and the groom's cake was made by Teresa Jarrell, friend of the bride.

A reception was held in the Scott High School cafeteria with dinner catered by GRITS catering of Madison, W.Va.

The couple honeymooned in Gatlinburg, Tenn. Alex, Amanda, and Trenton make their home in Huntington.
