William Fannin and JoAnn Click Caines are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married June 4,1954, at the First United Methodist Church in Ashland, Ky.
After serving in the Marines from 1946-1948 and 1950-1952, Bill went to work for Allied Chemical in South Point. The company closed in 1978, at which time a friend and former co-worker offered him a position with the Gino's organization. When his son opened Pawn Shop Express in 1989, Bill joined him to help the growing business. Twenty-five years later, "Pop" as he's known at the shop, still enjoys helping his customers.
JoAnn worked at Sylvania in Huntington from 1950-1955. She also worked at Hudson's Department Store in Detroit. In 1989, she joined her husband for three years, to help their son with his new pawn shop business. She has been a member of the Lawrence County Homemakers Club for 25 years.
Bill and JoAnn have two children, Patricia Tyda and Tim and wife Lenora Caines. They have three grandchildren, Kelly Tyda, Brandon Caines and Destin Caines. The entire family attends The Salt and Light Worship Center in Ashland, Ky.
They have resided in South Point for 46 years. A family anniversary celebration trip to Florida is planned for this summer.
