HUNTINGTON -- A number of health-conscious classes, programs and screenings are scheduled in the Tri-State this week. Some of the activities offered in the area:

ALZHEIMER'S SUPPORT GROUP, 6 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 11, Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center, Cabell Huntington Hospital, 1340 Hal Greer Blvd., Huntington. Support group for anyone affected by Alzheimer's as a patient, caregiver or family member. Call 304-526-2695 with questions.

This free program teaches female cancer patients beauty and skin care techniques to restore their appearance and self-image during chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
