HUNTINGTON -- A number of health-conscious classes, programs and screenings are scheduled in the Tri-State this week. Some of the activities offered in the area include:

Breastfeeding Class, 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, Cabell Huntington Hospital. Pre-registration required. Call 304-526-BABY (2229).

CAN-CERvive, 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, at Rehabilitation Services Second Floor, Heart Institute at St. Mary's Medical Center. Call 304-526-1372.

Epilepsy Support Group, 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, in Room G403 on the ground floor of the Marshall University Medical Center. The group is hosted by Cabell Huntington Hospital and the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Cincinnati. Call 877-804-2241.

Cancer Support Group, 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, at the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center ground floor. For people with any type of cancer and their loved ones.Call 304-526-2443.

Free Diabetes Screening, 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, St. Mary's Family Care Center -- Hurricane. The Joslin Diabetes Center education affiliate at St. Mary's will offer free A1C, cholesterol and blood pressure screenings, as well as a foot check and body mass index analysis.
