TOPS Club provides recipe for black bean soup

HUNTINGTON -- This recipe for black bean salsa comes from the TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Club, and has zero cholesterol.

Ingredients needed are:

1 15-ounce can black beans

1 15-ounce can garbanzo beans

1 15-ounce can whole kernel corn

1 15-ounce can diced tomatoes

1 small can sliced black olives

1 tablespoon thyme

2 tablespoons finely chopped onions

1 tablespoon minced garlic

1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

2 tablespoons dried parsley

1 tablespoon dried celery leaves

One-fourth cup olive oil.

Drain beans and corn and rinse well. Combine all ingredients and mix well. Chill for at least two hours.

This recipe makes 16 half-cup servings.
