St. Mary's celebrates School of Nursing alumni
HUNTINGTON -- The St. Mary's School of Nursing welcomed back past graduates Saturday, Aug. 17 during its Alumni Homecoming at the St. Marya's Center for Education.
The event featured lunch, special presentations by several St. Mary's administrators, a memorial service for those who have passed away in the last year and recognition of the special classes.
The St. Mary's School of Nursing opened in 1926. Today, it is housed in the St. Mary's Center for Education, along with the St. Mary's schools of Respiratory Care and Medical Imaging. It is the only nursing school in the state of West Virginia still operated by a hospital.
