Learn to take small steps toward wellness

HUNTINGTON -- The federal government encourages everyone to take "small steps" toward wellnesss.

The "Small Step" program is just one of many federal initiatives promoting healthier lifestyles.

The program's Web site features more than 170 "small steps." They include tips about what to drink, eat and cook. It also discusses walking and exercise as a whole.

For instance, tip No. 16 read "Get a dog and walk it." Other tips promote fat-free milk, smaller plates and sit-ups in front of the television.
