HUNTINGTON -- A number of health-conscious classes, programs and screenings are scheduled in the Tri-State this week. Some of the activities offered in the area:
PARKINSON'S SUPPORT GROUP, 6 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 16, Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center, resource room, 1340 Hal Greer Blvd., Huntington. The October group meeting will feature a presentation from Dr. Paul Ferguson, a neurologist with the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. BETTER BREATHERS CLUB - LUNG DISEASE SUPPORT GROUP, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 16, Center for Lung Health at Cabell Huntington Hospital, 1305 Elm St., Huntington. Learn to manage your lung disease and live better. The Center for Lung Health at Cabell Huntington Hospital and the American Lung Association host the Better Breathers Club for anyone with chronic lung disease. Patients and loved ones are invited and registration is not required.
