Ways to attract butterflies

Want to attract butterflies? Consider the following:
Nectar flowers
Lilacs: Attract swallowtails, question marks, vanessids and spring migrant butterflies.
Milkweed: Attracts many butterflies, including monarchs, hairstreaks and fritillaries.
Wild mint and basil: Attract many butterflies, including sulphurs and rarities like gray commas.
Caterpillar food
Black cherry: Feeds tiger swallowtail, coral hairstreak and red-spotted purple.
Queen Anne's lace: Feeds black swallowtail.
Elms: Feeds question marks, eastern commas and mourning cloaks.
