The Cabell County Board of Education voted this afternoon to offer Marshall University $1.8 million for the University Heights Apartments property. The vote came hours after a public hearing held in the Alumni Lounge in the Memorial Student Center, where Superintendent William Smith, Prestera Center executive director Bob Hansen and many Prestera clients and supporters spoke.

Cabell students raise funds by washing cars

HUNTINGTON -- Student participants in Operation Right Choice, Cabell County PRIDE, Artworks and RAZE will wash cars at AutoZone, located at the corner of Hal Greer Boulevard and 8th Avenue in Huntington.

The car wash takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 19.

Funds raised will help pay for summer activities, trips and events. Donations will be accepted for the car wash.
