ROTARY: The Rotary Club of Huntington named Joshua Williams, a student at Huntington High School, its student of the month. He and his guidance counselor, Renee Harris, were honored at its recent meeting.

LEADER: Megan Gilpin of Chesapeake, Ohio, recently attended the Ohio site of the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership seminar at Denison University. The junior-to-be represented Chesapeake High School and joined more than 190 other high school sophomores from central and southeastern Ohio. At the seminar, the students took part in activities that aim teach youths how to think, rather than what to think. She is the daughter of Byran and Becky Gilpin.

SCHOLARSHIP: Huntington business InfoCision is awarding a $1,000 scholarship to a Huntington High School graduating senior Craig J. Crawford to assist with his higher education expenses.

One senior football player is chosen each week of the football season as InfoCision MVP Player of the Week, based on his play in the game. At the end of the season, one of the weekly winners who has excelled both on and off the field is selected to receive the scholarship.

ACCOLADES: Andrew Webb of Ashland was named to the Merit List of Oxford College, the two-year liberal arts division of Emory University, for the spring semester. He is the son of Suzanne DeMunbrun Gilmore and Stuart Blazer Adair Webb, both of Ashland. Webb also graduated with an associate's degree.

Fellow Ashland native Radhika Unnikrishnan, daughter of Dr. E. W. and Usha Unnikrishnan, also graduated with a bachelor's degree from Emory College of Emory University.

Emily Millen of Huntington, daughter of Dr. Ricky Edward Millen and Dr. Kristen Lynn King, graduated from Emory with a bachelor's degree.
