Spring Valley teacher honored by Coca-Cola

ATLANTA -- Spring Valley High School guidance counselor Julie Hutchinson has been named a 2008 Coca-Cola Educator of Distinction by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation.

Hutchinson is one of 250 educators across the country chosen to receive the honor, which is presented to outstanding teachers dedicated to providing education with an enhanced purpose.

Hutchinson receives a commemorative crystal gift from the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation and a plaque inscribed with a personal dedication written by Megan Price, a 2008 Coca-Cola Scholar and 2008 Spring Valley graduate. A Coca-Cola Scholar designates a teacher, coach, principal or counselor that inspired or encouraged them most. Price selected Hutchinson.
