Hillbilly Hotdogs is selling child-created dogs as fundraiser

HUNTINGTON -- The children of the River Valley Child Development Services School-Age Connection program have created a hotdog that is being sold at Hillbilly Hotdogs May 5-18 during The Days of Summer event.

The dog is topped with mustard, ketchup and pepperoni. An employee of the Huntington location on 5th Avenue said it's an unusual combination but definitely not the weirdest.

The hotdogs are $2.25, and a portion of the proceeds will go back to the program to help pay for summer and after-school activities and field trips.

Hillbilly Hotdogs is open from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Monday through Wednesday; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday through Saturday; and noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
