Cabell, Wayne and Putnam WIC (Women, Infants and Children) Program in West Virginia offers the following hours:

WIC provides individual nutrition counseling, group classes, infant formula and nutritious foods for pregnant women, breastfeeding women and children up to age 5. A family of four can earn up to $628 per week and still qualify for WIC. For more information, call the above listed number for your area.

Ebenezer Medical Outreach, Douglass Center, 1448 10th Ave., provides free primary care, medications assistance and referral for the low income, who are without Medicaid and Medicare.

Services are available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call 304-529-0753.

Huntington Pediatric Clinic, 1448 10th Ave., Suite 313, serves low-income families in Cabell, Wayne and Lawrence counties. Children from birth through age 18 are eligible. First visit is by appointment.

Clinic services include: well checkups and treatment of acute illnesses plus infant and school immunization. Patients must register from 8 to 10 a.m. weekdays to be seen by the doctor. Nursing staff is available from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Call 304-522-3055.

Cabell-Huntington Health Department offers immunizations, pregnancy testing, HIV testing and counseling, emergency contraception, hepatitis testing and immunity testing during walk-in clinics from 8 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

For immunization clinics: Parent or legal guardian must accompany child and bring record of his/her immunizations.

TB skin tests are offered from 8 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. Mondays and Fridays.

Evening immunization clinic and TB skin tests are offered from 4 to 6 p.m. the second and fourth Mondays.

Sexually transmitted disease clinic is offered on a walk-in basis at 2 p.m. Tuesdays and 3 p.m. Thursdays.

Tuberculosis clinics, family planning clinic and breast and cervical cancer screening program are offered by appointment. Call 304-526-3380.

The West Virginia Children's Health Project, a mobile doctor's office on wheels, provides complete medical care for children ages newborn through 18.

The mobile clinic, operated and staffed by Valley Health Systems of Huntington and Marshall University School of Medicine, visits the same site at the same time each week. The current schedule is:

Tuesday -- Wayne County, East Lynn Elementary School, 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.; Dunlow, Cabwaylingo Presbyterian Church, 1 to 3:30 p.m.

Wednesday -- Wayne County, Crum Elementary School, 9 to 11:30 a.m.; Tolsia High School, 12:30 to 3 p.m.

Thursday -- Lincoln County, Atenville Elementary School, 9 to 11:30 a.m.; Ranger Elementary School, 12:30 to 3 p.m.

Lawrence County (Ky.) Health Department offers immunization, well-child clinics, family planning, Pap smear clinic, diagnostic clinics and WIC by appointment. The department is open from 8 to 11:30 a.m. and from 1 to 3:30 p.m. weekdays. Also scheduled:

Tuesday -- family planning supply pick-up in afternoon; VD clinic.

Friday -- family planning supply pick-up, hypertension and general walk-ins.

Greenup County Health Department offers medical and environmental services, counseling, screenings and clinics by appointment. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and until 6 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month. Clinic hours are 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m.; 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 6 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month. There is a $1-$3 fee for most services, excluding family planning. Blood centers

American Red Cross offers donor hours the first and third Monday of each month at King's Daughters Medical Center's Outpatient Services Center, 23rd Street, Ashland. Donations are accepted by appointment. Call 800-448-3543.
