DOUBLE DELIGHT: On May 3, former Pea Ridge residents Bill and Jeanne Fletcher celebrated their 65th anniversary at Lake Mary, Fla., while they attended the wedding of their grandson, Andrew Messier to Holly French. The Fletchers were married on May 3, 1943, in Jacksonville, Fla., and are honored that Andrew and Holly chose that date for their wedding.
Bill and Jeanne's four daughters and sons-in-law attended the celebration: Pam and John Bone, Jill and Chuck Messier, Sue and Brad Morgan, and Vicki and Dennis Sweeney. Grandchildren Adam and Marissa Messier, and Dennis and Ellen Sweeney also joined the double celebration. GRADUATED: Congratulations to three Cabell Midland High School graduates -- Aaron Lambert, Matt Pittman and Drew Watson, who graduated from Marshall University last weekend. Aaron and Matt graduated from the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine with Doctor of Medicine degrees.
Aaron, the son of Steve and Vicki Lambert, grandson of Jean Erskine, and husband of Elyse, will complete his residency in family practice at Marshall University in Huntington. Matt, the son of Larry and Linda Pittman, will attend the University of Tennessee at Knoxville to complete his residency in anesthesiology. My grandson, Drew Watson, graduated from Marshall University's College of Liberal Arts with bachelor of arts degrees in political science and psychology. Drew is the son of Bill and Andy Watson and the grandson of Glen and Dorcas Watson and Dick Spencer.
ALL-CLASS REUNION: See lots of your former classmates at the Barboursville High School all-class reunion tonight and tomorrow. A casual social will be at 7 p.m. this evening at Stat's Sports Bar, and the reunion will begin at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the amphitheater in Barboursville Community Park. Entertainment will be provided by country music performers Todd Thornburg and Rick Huckaby and food vendors will be available. Bring chairs or blankets to sit on.

BOOK CLUB: The Marshall University College of Liberal Arts, in conjunction with the Cabell County Library, sponsors a book club meeting, The Third Saturday Book Club, from September through June. The discussion of "True Notebooks: A Writer's Year at Juvenile Hall," by Mark Salzman will be led by Dr. George Davis, assistant professor in the Political Science Department of Marshall University.
