The search is on for a new Mrs. West Virginia to represent in the 2010 Mrs. America Pageant in Tucson, Ariz. The pageant date is Feb. 20, at the Renaissance Center in Huntington.
If you are married, at least 18 years of age and a resident of West Virginia you could be eligible to compete for the title of Mrs. West Virginia.

Learn the techniques and tips used by entertainment reporters and television hosts, taught by Daytime TV actor and founder of Charisma on Camera Media Training Studio in Hollywood, Calif., Sandra Dee Robinson. The Charisma Consciousness Workshop begins from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, in the Groce Room of the Harless Dining Hall located on the Marshall University campus.
The workshop, which is in affiliation with the Mrs. West Virginia Pageant, offers a discounted price of $165 to the first 30 people to register.

Passionately Pink Pageant, a fundraiser for the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer, begins with registration from noon to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13, in the auditorium at Cabell Midland High School. The pageant is for girls between birth and 15 years old. Cost is $55 for entry and their is a $5 spectator fee. Girls 13 to 15 will not wear a gown, only an outfit of their choice.
Also, everyone will go home with a prize. A gift basket raffle will include a 30 minute massage from Massage Connection. Everyone is asked to wear pink.

The Emerald Pageantry’s Inaugural Pageant begins promptly at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 7, at Cabell Midland High School. Registration will begin at 1 p.m. Entry fee is $50 and is required by Friday, Feb. 19.
The pageant is semi-glitz. Small hairpieces are allowed, but no long falls and absolutely no flippers, eyelashes or fake tans. Make-up is permitted.
Attire consists of beauty wear such as pageant, flower girl or special occasion dress, and an outfit of choice. The outfit of choice must be primarily green. It can also be a St. Patrick’s Day theme, but is not required.
Awards will go to queen and king, and prince and princess in each age division and as many beauty awards as necessary. Side awards include most beautiful/handsome, most photogenic, best personality, best dressed and best smile. Every contestant will go home with a trophy, crown and goodie bag.
Also offered include four mini supreme titles, one high point supreme, overalls and buddy awards. Program ads are available and cost between $5 and $15.
