CELEBRATE: Two Barboursville residents, Margaret Dodds and Lib Sharp, celebrated big birthdays recently. Barboursville mayor Paul Turman signed a proclamation on Oct. 26, 2009 that paid special tribute to Margaret on her 90th birthday and recognized her contributions to the community. Lib's special day was Oct. 12. Former students of Barboursville Junior High School and Barboursville High School will remember Lib as a very efficient secretary who worked many years at both schools. Happy belated birthdays, ladies.

RUN: Huntington's third annual Turkey Trot is scheduled for 9 a.m. Nov. 26. The 5K run/walk starts at the Ritter Park picnic shelter and winds its way through the park to the Memorial Arch at 7th Street West.
