One may think designing a kitchen is a simple task. Just place a few cabinets along a wall and then put an island in the center. That sounds simple. However, if you have ever remodeled or built a new kitchen, you know what sounds so simple can be very difficult.
The decisions that have to be made alone can be very overwhelming much less concentrating on staying within your budget. That is why hiring a professional kitchen designer can be extremely beneficial. If involved from the beginning of a project, a designer can make the process go smoothly and alleviate many of your worries. They can help you stay within your budget by avoiding expensive mistakes, wasted time and unsatisfactory results.
Most of us don't have the money to redo a new kitchen or bath every year, so it needs to be done right the first time. Working with skilled professionals will get your project started on the right foot and ensure that a trustworthy team will be with you every step of the way.
The kitchen has evolved through the years -- from once being a separate room from the house to being the main gathering room of your family and the entertaining room for dinner guests. With that in mind, it's important that you use a professional to help design your dream kitchen and fit your lifestyle.
Kitchens by Woody's designers Beverly Hodges and Tim Moses have 35 years of combined experience in kitchen design. They will come to your home free of charge and take field measurements, analyze your space and create working drawings. Once the client commits to a design, our designers will order the product and oversee the installation from start to finish.
Additional advantages of using Kitchens by Woody's design team are: professional measurements, creativity, project management and assistance in selection of the right products and materials from lighting to color choices to benefit your lifestyle, budget and schedule.
When you meet with a designer, be prepared to answer some questions that will assist in designing the kitchen, bathroom or entertainment center of your dreams. We want to design your dream kitchen to reflect your personal character and charm while staying within your budget.
Some of the questions you should be prepared to answer are:
What other professionals are involved -- architects, designers, builders?
What kind of kitchen do you envision? The type of counter top materials; granite, solid surface, formica or other. Who all cooks in the kitchen? How often and how many? The more information you can provide the better. Describe your style, taste and color preferences. Providing pictures you like is also helpful.
What is your timeline? Our usual cabinet delivery time frame is four weeks, but custom cabinets can take up to 8-10 weeks.
What is your budget? This is important to know very early in the design phase. It will allow the designer to maximize your dollar and make efficient tradeoffs.
The designers at Kitchens by Woody's provide the ultimate atmosphere, talent, skill and personality to design your perfect kitchen.
