A look at this year's Marshall Artists Series

Here's a closer look at the 72nd season of the Marshall Artists Series

WHERE: All shows are at the Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center

BAXTER SERIES: St. Mary's Medical Center presents the hilarious musical comedy, "Nunsense: starring the legendary Sally Struthers, at the Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center, Wednesday, Oct. 22; Chesapeake Energy presents, "Oliver!," Wednesday, Nov. 12; Four-time Tony nominee Tovah Feldshuh stars in "Golda's Balcony," at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 7. The 5 Browns are classical music's first family of piano virtuosos, bring their five Steinway pianos on stage at 7:30 p.m Wednesday, April 23.

MOUNT SERIES: Cabell Huntington Hospital and Chase Bank present, "The Wizard of Oz," Tuesday, Dec. 9.

The Law Office of Doug Reynolds, The Marshall University Department of Music, American Babbitt Bearing, Pritchard Electric, Chapman Printing and First Sentry Bank present Brazilian/jazz music legend Sergio Mendes at 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31.

"Sweeney Todd," Stephen Sondheim's Broadway sensation that inspired the recent Tim Burton/Johnny Depp film, hits the stage of the Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center at 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5.

The Tony-award winning new musical comedy "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" is at 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 28.

BELANGER SERIES: The Comedy Central superstar, Jim Gaffigan will bring his signature brand of humor to the stage at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1. Kool & The Gang bring the funk to the Big Sandy Superstore Arena, at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7. DC's hip-hop dancers, Cultureshock will get the dance party started and teach you some new dance moves.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Theatre for Young Audiences On Tour makes it sixth visit to Huntington with "Blues Journey" at 7 p.m. Monday, March 9.

SEASON TICKET PRICES: Superticket: Baxter, Mount, Belanger & Films - $575, $525, $475 & $435; Baxter Series: 4 Events - $250, $200, $180 & $160; Mount Series: 4 Events - $265, $215, $185 & $170; Belanger Series: 3 Events - $170, $120 & $115; International Film Festival (12 Films) $70.

YOUTH TICKETS: Youth season tickets are available, for most shows, for children age 17 and under. Contact the Marshall Artists Series for more details.

SEASON TICKET DEADLINE: Subscriptions may be ordered and current subscriptions may be renewed through the deadline date of Monday, Aug.18. After that day, all orders will be processed in order of date and time received.

GET TIX: Season tickets may be ordered via telephone by calling 304-696-3326. Orders may also be mailed in to Marshall Artists Series, One John Marshall Dr., Huntington, WV 25755-2210. Orders may also be faxed to 304-696-6658. The Marshall Artists Series office is located in the Jomie Jazz Center on 5th Avenue across from Marshall University's Student Center. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

INDIVIDUAL TIX: Tickets to individual events will go on sale in early September.

FILM FESTS: The Fall International Film Festival will take place Oct. 10-16, at the Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center. Featured films include: "Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden" (USA), "4 Months 3 Weeks and 2 Days" (Romania), "Sangre De Mi Sangre" (Mexico), "The Band's Visit" (Israel), "The Counterfeiters" (Austria), and "The Flight of the Red Balloon" (France).

The Spring International Film Festival will take place Feb. 20-26, at the Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center. Featured films include: "Brick Lane" (UK), "Edge of Heaven" (Turkey/Germany), "Caramel" (Lebanon/France), "Elsa & Fred" (Argentina), "The Grocer's Son" (France), and "Trouble the Water" (USA).
