Try this Kielbasa and Kraut recipe for a quick, easy meal
HUNTINGTON -- Looking for a quick and easy recipe to feed the family this holiday weekend? The Herald-Dispatch reader Danita Hicks offered this recipe for Kielbasa and Kraut, which is a favorite in her family.
Ingredients
2 Pkgs. Kielbasa or smoked sausage
6-8 potatoes, medium size and peeled
2 qt. jars of Kraut
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Cut kielbasa in chunks and set aside. Peel potatoes and cut them in chunks. In a large stock pot add all kielbasa and potatoes. Add enough water to cover and cook on medium heat until the potatoes are almost done. Drain all but about an inch of water. Add the kraut with its juices. Cook until the potatoes are done and kraut is heated through. About 15 minutes.
