Figure drawing class offered at Renaissance Gallery
HUNTINGTON -- Bruce Bowersock is again leading a Saturday afternoon figure drawing class at the Renaissance Gallery. Classes resume Jan. 9.
The class is open to adult students. Both professional and amateur artists are welcome. The class runs for eight weeks, until Feb. 27.
Although space is limited, there are still a few openings in the class that meets from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Renaissance Gallery, 900 8th St., Suite #20. The class features instruction in drawing the human figure and a live model.
Bowersock, an artist who spent his working life as a commercial illustrator in Louisville, Ky., and Baltimore, moved to the Tri-State in the late 1990s.
Since then, he's been in many juried art shows and has his work featured at Tamarack, the Huntington Museum of Art, the Renaissance Gallery and many other art galleries around the country.
For more information, call during gallery hours, noon to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at 304-525-3235 or call Bowersock at 304-743-6035.
You can also contact the gallery through its Web site at www.orgsites.com/wv/renaissance or e-mail gallerywv@yahoo.com or e-mail Bowersock at bhbowersock@suddenlink.net.
