CONCERT: A gospel singer from Ripley, W.Va., is featured at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, in a Huntington church. Jamie Tolley sings at 26th Street Baptist Church.
LATE: Better late than never as the saying goes. Marlene Black hopes her dear and caring friend, Pam Hagley, had a happy and special day on Nov. 18.
ELECTED: A professor, accountant, teacher/tutor and funeral home owner make up the new team of officers for Ceredo-Kenova Rotary Club. New officers installed into the club include Dr. Barbara P. Guyer, professor of special education and founder/director of HELP program at Marshall University, president; David Thompson, accountant, Chandler's, incoming president; Vivian Atkins, tutor at MU HELP Program and retired Wayne County teacher, secretary; and Charlie Patrick, owner, Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home, treasurer.
OOPS: The birthday for Ron Sizemore was incorrectly listed. He actually turned 64 Friday, Nov. 20.

BEAUTY TEEN: She didn't win the title, but she's a winner to us. Chasity Lee Parsons, a Cabell Midland High School student, competed against 35 other West Virginia teens in the Miss West Virginia Teen USA Pageant in late October. The high schooler enjoys basketball and co-coaches Little League sports.
BAPTISM: Ty Aaron Wheeler was baptized Sunday, Nov. 15, at Ona's Bethesda United Methodist Church. Congratulations to the Wheeler family on this great news. Keep lookin' up, Ty.
MEETING: Huntington Detachment 340 Marine Corps League meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, at American Legion Post 16, 1421 6th Ave. All former Marines are welcome to attend, according to John Hensley, commandant.
FOOD: As part of its annual "One Tri-State - be a part of your community" program, the Huntington Symphony Orchestra and Cridlin Food/Clothing Pantry gear up for a kick-off of the annual food drive. Anyone dropping off donations of canned food items to the HSO office, 763 3rd Ave., will receive a $5 discount toward the orchestra's holiday spectacular concert on Saturday, Dec. 19. In order to receive the discount, donations must be received by Dec. 15. Call 304-781-8343.
