Upcoming Marshall Artists Series shows

The Marshall Artists Series is tanned, rested and ready to continue with its 2007-2008 series.

And there are a bunch of shows lined up this Spring.

Here's a look at the incoming shows.

Friday, Jan. 18: Billy Joel's Broadway smash "Movin' Out," the musical collaboration between five-time Grammy Award winner Billy Joel and legendary choreographer Twyla Tharp, hits the stage at 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18. Tickets are $55, $50 and $45.

Saturday, Feb. 2: "The Producers" arrives at 8 p.m. Saturday Feb. 2. Tickets are $55, $50 & $45.

Friday, Feb. 15: "An Evening with Martin Short," takes place at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2008. Tickets are $60, $55 and $50.

Tuesday, March 4: The Kennedy Center's fifth visit to the Marshall Artists Series brings "Teddy Roosevelt & The Treasure of Ursa Major" at 7 p.m., Tuesday March 4. This fun story for the entire family was inspired by Teddy Roosevelt and his family during their time in the White House. In 1904 Roosevelt's three young children stumble upon a real-life treasure map hidden in the White House library's copy of Treasure Island. Adult tickets are $25, youth tickets $15.

Tuesday, March 11: Shakespeare's forbidden love story, "Romeo & Juliet," presented by the Tchaikovsky Ballet & Orchestra, takes place at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday March 11. Tickets are $55, $50 and $45.

Wednesday, April 23: "Little Women - The Broadway Musical." Louisa May Alcott's timeless tale about the power of family, friendship and romance comes to life at 8 p.m. Wednesday April 23. Tickets are $55, $50 and $45.

Wednesday, April 30: Direct from Broadway, "Hairspray" takes you back to 1962 Baltimore as Tracy Turnblad sets out to dance her way onto TV's most popular show at 8 p.m. Wednesday April 30. Tickets are $55, $50 and $45.

Edwards Performing Arts Center on Fifth Avenue across from Marshall University's Student Center. The Marshall Artists Series accepts all major credit cards.
