Friday's Community News: Joyce Spencer
A GREAT YEAR: High School football season kicks off tonight in Cabell County, and it's also time for those fantastic marching band performances. The Cabell Midland High School 150-member band is anticipating a great year. It will be performing at all football games, seven band contests, the WV Black Walnut Festival, the Marshall University Homecoming parade, the Barboursville FallFest parade and the Milton Pumpkin Festival parade. Drum majors are Courtney Miles, Emily Hall, and David Dillon. The band members are working hard to raise funds for new uniforms and are asking area businesses and organizations to help them reach their goal of $60,000. The CMHS jazz band is available for community and service organization meetings. Call the CMHS band room at 304-743-7426 to contact the band director Rhonda Smalley.
