PAST HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL GALLERIES

1973: Huntington East High School vs. Barboursville High School football

Would you like to relive your high school football glory days? The Herald-Dispatch has begun scanning and posting old high school football games on its website.

The newspaper has organized negatives from April 1966 through November 1999. If you would like to see a game from your school, you will need to do a little work first.

Dig out your old high school yearbook or an old football program. Type out the roster (jersey number and name at the minimum, but you may also add position and class rank), and email it to Online Editor Andrea Copley-Smith at acopley@herald-dispatch.com. You can also include that year’s win/loss record and the name of the coach and team captains.

We will try to build one gallery a week. Reprints of these photos are available. Prices are $6 for a 4x6, $11 for a 5x7 and $15 for an 8x10. There are also bigger photo sizes and framing options, if you would be interested. Customers who make a purchase of $15 or above (before shipping) get to choose the next high school football gallery for us to scan and upload.
