The Annual Boy Scout Dinner that recognized all of the boys who had become an Eagle Scout during the year in 1961. At right is Tony Broh, formerly of Huntington and now living in Brookline, Mass. "The Herald Dispatch ran a photograph of me on the day I received my Eagle Scout award at Ohev Shalom Temple (now B'nai Shalom)," Broh said. "The event was special for me not only because I received an Eagle, but also because my father, the late Charles S. Broh, was also an Eagle Scout."

A daughter of the late Alpheus and Ella Kirkland, she was born at Dickson and lived most of her life in Huntington. She attended Marshall University and Hunter College in New York. A former president of the Woman's Club of Huntington, she was active in the state Federation of Woman's Clubs. She served on the board of directors for the Marshall Artists Series and the YWCA. She died May 26, 1985, at age 88.
