The state Supreme Court of Appeals has overturned a May 2007 conviction, which sentenced a battered mother to life in prison. The court’s 4-1 opinion remands the case of Tanya Harden back to Cabell Circuit Judge Alfred Ferguson. It orders an immediate acquittal and release.
