A powerful snowstorm hit much of the Midwest Thursday, creating large snow drifts on many roadways, making navigating the slick conditions a challenge. Accidents and slide-offs were reported from Kansas to Michigan as the storm pushed east Friday.leaving difficult travel conditions.
