More than 100 years of history came to life Tuesday for the family of Isaac H. Mitchell, the city’s first town marshal and its first officer killed in the line of duty. The family, whose ages span decades, joined together in a conference room at the Huntington Police Department where they shared stories and viewed old photos, memoirs and a family Bible as a mountain of research connected dots in their genealogy and brought honor to their long lost relative.
