The West Virginia National Guard released these photos of preparations and events related to the 2013 National Boy Scout Jamboree in Mount Hope, W.Va.
Opening ceremonies were held today to kick off the 2013 National Scout Jamboree, Fayette County,W. Va. More than 40,000 Boy Scouts,troop leaders,volunteers, military members and professional staff members attended. At the request of the BSA, about 1,000 military members from the active Army,National Guard and Army Reserve,along with members of the U.S. Air Force,U.S.Navy,U.S. Marines Corps and U.S. Coast Guard will be provideing critical logistical support for the event.
