Major B Chance, or Chance to his friends, a 3 1/2-year-old yellow Lab, is trying his best to get his dad's attention. If he feels that you are not giving him 100% of your attention, he does the cute puppy look, or goes and grabs all of his toys, one at a time, and brings them to whatever part of the house we are in. I have cancer and he is such a comfort to me. He lays with his head on my chest and sleeps for hours. He is also a certified Therapy Dog. He helps me tremendously. We are together 24/7. He helps me in the yard and when I cut grass with the riding mower. He plays "Toro!" with the mower. He is a silly, wonderful boy. I am thankful to have him as my friend and confidant. This is "My Little Buddy Dexter" or just plain Dexter for short. He was my best friend and buddy. If he had lived until November he would have been 15 years old. He never saw a stranger, he would bark as if he was going to attack you but his bark was always worse that his bite. I don't think there was a person in Prichard who didn't know him.
