Kiki turned 1 year old on Dec. 30. She is one of 12 (soon to be more) guinea pigs we have and was one of the first litter of guinea pigs born at our home. She is very sweet-natured and has soft, silky hair that she likes to have brushed. She lives with Frank & Carol Kolski of Kenova.

Tiki is a very vocal guinea pig. While she likes all of the vegetables she gets, she knows the sound of kale being shredded and will squeak and whistle loudly. I've turned around many times to find her hanging out of her cage door so far that I thought she was going to fall out to the floor! She lives with Frank & Carol Kolski of Kenova.

Ernie is the first boy guinea pig we got, and he is as sweet as he can be. You can tell he's pretty easy going, since he's letting Twinkee using him as a pillow! They live with Frank & Carol Kolski of Kenova.

Hemi, 8 weeks, is a genuine West Virginia Brown Dog. He was rescued from a kill shelter with his 10 siblings and bottle-fed until we adopted him. He lives with Rose Henson of Huntington.

Lady was rescued from certain death by Gene Waugh of Barboursville. He takes really good care of me and keeps me warm and well fed.

Stormy is a wild child, so full of life and energy. He is 7 months old and lives with Kay Maynard of South Point, Ohio.

Danielle Carroll's future mother-in-law made her and Bunsen matching outfits. Bunsen is a Silkie Terrier.

"Friends of mine paid $75 to acquire a Jack Russell terrier (Tucker) from a puppy mill in Ohio. At first he seemed healthy, then fell violently ill several days later. As a friend to the family, I paid over $2,000 for his medical care, which included surgery and six blood transfusions. This care, plus all our prayers, helped make him the happy, sassy 3-year-old lad he is today. When I see him, he pounces on my lap and licks me effusively." Our three indoor cats are, from left, Percy, Pedra Sue and Peabody, ages 3, 10 months and 6. They love to look out the window at the birds and squirrels. Pedra keeps the men busy by chasing them around the house. They live with John and Jane Peterson of Huntington.
