Former POW Jessica Lynch, whose wounding and rescue made her the Iraq war's most famous soldier, is shown in an interview with the Associated Press in Charleston, W.Va., Monday, March 22, 2004. A year after her ordeal, Lynch continues to grapple with questions ranging from the personal (when to enter college? when to marry?) to the existential (what does her survival mean?).
