Isaac and Isaiah Carpenter wrestled for the Huntington Ponies. In the Mt. State Conference, Isaac took 3rd place and Isaiah took 1st place. They are the sons of Gary and Becki Carpenter of Huntington.

The Wayne County 4-H Rifle Club's Senior Division participated in the West Virginia State Shooting Competition at West Virginia University in Morgantown on Feb. 9. Wayne County had two teams participate against other counties in the state. Wayne's A Team, consisting of Keisha McKeand, Brandon Maynard, Justin Belcher and Cole Cyrus, won the competition and will represent West Virginia in the national competition in Grand Island, Neb., in June.
