The four students in this picture make up Wayne County 4-H Shooting Sports Senior Team A. These students won the WV 4-H Air Rifle Shooting Sports Championship at the WVU Rifle Range in Morgantown, WV on February 9, 2008. These four students will now compete in the National Championship in Grand Island, Nebraska on June 23-28, 2008. These students are coached by Bruce Crockett and assistant Blaine Cyrus.

Mt. State Monster Garage wrestlers Jordan Allen and Logan Grass recently competed in the WV Jr. State Wrestling Tournament held in Beckley, WV. Jordan Allen placed first in 11-12 69 lbs winning his third consecutive state title. Logan Grass placed 1st in 9-10 75lbs winning his fourth consecutive state title. Other Mt. State Monster Garage winners include Lucas Simpkins, 1st place, Hunter Porter, 2nd place; Bobby Mitchell; 4th place, Jimmy Clark, 4th place, Devon Stapleton 5th place, and Austin Wamsley, 6th place.
