April 30 � May 1st 2011 - The WV Panthers brought home the gold medal by defeating the WV Breakers in the Championship game of the Girls Basketball AAU Division 1 State Championship in Charleston. The Panthers were undefeated in the tournament, and this is their fourth consecutive win since the team was created in 2008. The WV Panthers will now head to Orlando in July, to compete in the AAU Girls Basketball Division 1 National Championship Tournament, in which they will take with them their 11th seed, which the Panthers won in the 2010 Nationals in Minnesota.

This team participated in the Silver Division of the Kentucky Select Soccer League during this Spring 2011 season and finished with a 6-2-2 record and ended the season as Division Champions.
