MEREDITH “MERT” BLAINE DEPOY, 70, of Prestonsburg, Ky., formerly of Buckhannon, W.Va., husband of Ada Bowyer Depoy, died March 23 at Highlands Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg. He was the founder and owner of Mert’s Guns & Ammo, Allen, Ky., and a U.S. Navy veteran. Funeral service 1 p.m. Monday at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, Ky., and 1 p.m. Tuesday at Rock Cave Baptist Church, Rock Cave, W.Va. ALBERT “RED” ESKEW, 83, of Ashland, widower of Sarah Eskew, died March 20 in Williamsburg, Va. He was a retired supervisor for CSX Railroad. Funeral service 11 a.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home.
