One injured in domestic stabbing
HUNTINGTON -- A 28-year-old man received a small stab wound to the chest early Thursday in Huntington. It happened just after 3 a.m. Thursday in the 800 block of 9th Street West.
Huntington Police Lt. John Williams, in a press release, described the stabbing as a domestic incident. The wounded man was taken to an area hospital for treatment. His wound was small and not life threatening.
The lieutenant said the dispute involved the wounded man and a family member. The two parties had been living together and drinking alcohol when the wounded man became physical.
Those involved did not wish to pursue charges, however the case will be forwarded to the prosecutor's office for review. No immediate arrest was reported.
