Price of gas falls in W.Va.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — West Virginia motorists are paying less for gasoline than they did three months ago.
According to AAA’s Daily Fuel Gauge Report, the average price of a gallon of regular gasoline in West Virginia has fallen by 54 cents, from $4.12 in July to $3.58 Monday.
Experts attribute the decline to falling oil prices. The price of oil has dropped by nearly 40 percent since July.
The Daily Fuel Gauge Report says Monday’s average price of a gallon of regular gasoline was $3.64 in Charleston, $3.66 in Huntington, $3.41 in Parkersburg and Weirton and $3.50 in Wheeling.
The national average price was $3.50.
