Man charged with failing to register as sex offender

BARBOURSVILLE — Five people were booked into the Western Regional jail on felony charges early Sunday.

Derick Lee Nida, 55, was arrested by the West Virginia State Police in Cabell County and charged with four counts of failure to register as a sex offender, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Ellis Antonio-Perkins Robinson, 27, was arrested by the Huntington Police Department and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and public intoxication.

James West Thompson, 45, was arrested in Wayne County on a contempt of family court charge from Raleigh County.

Clintona Dawn Thompson, 38, was arrested in Wayne County and charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, conspiracy and a traffic citation. She was being held on a $100,000 bond.

Mark Toler, 23, was arrested by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department and charged with being a fugitive from justice.
