HUNTINGTON -- Three men were indicted on federal drug charges Wednesday. The filings followed a grand jury meeting at Huntington's U.S. District Courthouse.

Those charged were Shaunn Niles Monroe, 27, of Charleston; Ronnell Terrance Buckner, 32, of Huntington; and Charles Gene Jordan, 60, of Ashton, W.Va.

The separate investigations involved crack cocaine, oxycodone and marijuana.

Monroe's indictment alleges he possessed with an intent to distribute at least five grams of crack cocaine. The incident occurred Aug. 11, 2008, in Huntington. The Huntington Violent Crime Drug Task Force conducted the investigation.

Buckner's indictment follows a Dec. 18, 2008, arrest. It charges he distributed oxycodone on Dec. 17, and possessed the drug with an intent to distribute Dec. 18, in Huntington.

Earlier court documents charge the transaction involved Buckner delivering 10 oxycodone pills to a confidential informant in the 600 block of 11th Avenue.

The Huntington Police Department participated in the investigation, along with the Task Force. Investigators said transaction occurred near a local school. Sgt. Darrell Booth said police confiscated approximately 200 oxycodone pills following Buckner's arrest.

Jordan was charged with cultivation of at least 100 marijuana plants in Ashton, in Mason County. Prosecutors will attempt to force Jordan to forfeit 8.84 acres of land along Ashton Upton Road, according to the indictment. The Task Force and the West Virginia State Police participated in the investigation.
