Support group meetings planned
HUNTINGTON -- The Senior Services Department at Cabell Huntington Hospital will host two support group meetings in November for family members, caregivers and anyone affected by Alzheimer's disease or Parkinson's disease.
The meetings are free and open to the public, and will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center in the Resource Room located on the ground floor just inside the entrance.
The meeting dates:
Tuesday, Nov. 13: Alzheimer's Support Group, Laddie Smith II will present "Goodbye Again: The Emotional Journey of Alzheimer's Disease."
Tuesday, Nov. 20: Parkinson's Support Group, Zach Grimm, a physical therapist with Cabell Huntington Hospital's Rehabilitation Services, will discuss physical therapy strategies for Parkinson's disease.
