Whooping cough case confirmed in Cabell
HUNTINGTON -- The Cabell-Huntington Health Department confirmed a case of pertussis, or whooping cough in Cabell County on Friday.
Department officials have been closely monitoring the patient, Elizabeth Ayers, public information officer for the department, said in a press release.
Anyone who may have been exposed to the disease will be contacted by a public health official to take precautionary steps.
