Boy Scout Troop 63 to host Christmas tree sale

Nov. 18, 2012 @ 12:00 AM

BARBOURSVILLE -- Boy Scout Troop 63 in Melissia, just outside of Barboursville, will have its annual Christmas tree sale to help fund summer camp and awards, and to help replace equipment lost in a 2011 flood.

The sale will run Friday, Nov. 23, through Sunday, Dec. 23, at River Park Plaza, along U.S. 60 east in Barboursville. It's one mile east of Kmart.

Hours for sale will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

The Troop will sell Fraser firs, blue spruce and white pine trees, which are organically grown in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. The prices for trees start at $25 and vary, depending on type of tree chosen and its height.
