BBBS hosts Christmas tree sale Nov. 24

HUNTINGTON -- Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Tri State is readying for its 32nd annual Christmas tree sale.

Sales start Saturday, Nov. 24, at three locations in Cabell County in West Virginia and Boyd County, Ky. The locations are BB&T Bank at 6th Avenue and 1st Street in Huntington, HIMG at U.S. 60 at the 29th Street interchange of Interstate 64, and the Ashland Tennis Center at 13th Street and Oakview Road.

All trees are freshly cut and shipped from Virginia and Michigan. There will be white pine, Scotch pine and Fraser fir, along with wreathes. The lots will be open from noon to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on the weekends.

"More than 600 volunteers from clubs, organizations and businesses are assisting with the sale, and all proceeds will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Tri-State," said Patti Price, the organization's executive director. "Big Brothers Big Sisters serves children through the mentoring of adult volunteers on a one-to-one basis."
