Hunting season continues going strong
Hunting season is still going strong. Steve Lambert, manager at J.C.'s Market, said his store has checked in 138 deer and a black bear so far this gun season, which is more than usual.
That makes two bears, including bow season, he said.
"It's been a busy year," Lambert said Wednesday afternoon. "Today, there's been a lot of kids checking them in -- nice ones, too. Eight points, nine points and a couple 11 points."
