Armed robbery reported at Joli's Bar on U.S. 60

The following information was provided by reports filed with the Cabell County Sheriff's Office:

ARMED ROBBERY: Deputies were dispatched to Joli's Bar in the 3400 block of U.S. 60 just after 2:30 a.m. Sunday for a report of an armed robbery. An employee and a witness reported that a white man wearing a brown jacket and a gray scarf entered the bar by forcing open the front door of the bar. The man told the employee he was armed and demanded money from her. The employee said the suspect never actually showed her a weapon.

The employee gave the suspect about $6,000 from a cash register, and he ordered her to lie on the ground before he fled the area. The incident remains under investigation.

BURGLARY, BREAKING AND ENTERING: An employee with Tri-State Pipeline reported someone had forced entry into a storage unit the business rents in the 100 block of Keaton Lane in Barboursville sometime between Nov. 21 and 22. The employee said more than $18,000 in tools and equipment was missing. The owner of the storage units told authorities the incident was captured by surveillance cameras.

The following information was provided by reports filed with the Huntington Police Department:

LARCENY: Two people reported that spare tires were removed from their vehicles while they were parked in a garage in the 2900 block of 1st Avenue on Monday.

While neither vehicle sustained significant damage, a security officer on the property told police the incidents were part of an ongoing problem.

BURGLARY: A 54-year-old man reported he arrived home from work Monday to find the garage door to his home in the 3100 block of Brereton Court was open. He said he discovered someone had taken $2,850 in his wife's jewelry in addition to about $5 in change from his home.

The following information was provided by booking records at the Western Regional Jail in Barboursville:

Ethan William Edens, 23, was incarcerated Monday evening. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Bond was denied pending arraignment.
