Accident closes I-64 near 29th Street exit
BARBOURSVILLE -- Multiple people were hospitalized Thursday evening following a crash involving a utility bucket truck along I-64.
The crash happened near the 29th Street exit, at the 15.5 mile marker, and was reported to Cabell County 911 dispatchers at 5:15 p.m.
All four lanes of traffic on the interstate were closed for more than an hour following the accident while crews cleared the scene.
Dispatchers said multiple people were taken to the hospital, but they were unclear as to how many people were involved or the severity of their injuries.
Barboursville police and fire crews responded to the scene.
